Queer Studies

This guide was designed to help students in their research on topics related to Queer Studies.

Relevant Databases

There are no commonly accepted criteria for a "Queer peer-review journal". A queer research article could be published in any one of thousands of scholarly journals. The best practical approach is to search for any journal/article database with the terms related to queer communities. The Terminology & Keywords Section offers lists of terms and their definitions.

The following databases offer an entry point to queer studies research, however, because this is an interdisciplinary area of research, relevant materials can be found using a wide range of research tools which do not have a queer studies focus.
