Course Readings & Media (Reserves) Services for Faculty

by Research Help Librarian on 2024-08-30T13:52:39-03:00 | 0 Comments

As the fall semester approaches, we'd like to remind you of our services to facilitate student access to course resources assigned by faculty.

Our Services include:

  • Adding resources to your Moodle site.
  • Creating links to e-journals, e-books, and resources from the MSVU Library database.
  • Adding scanned articles/documents.
  • Digitizing and optimizing physical course material for accessibility and functionality.
  • Checking fair dealing and copyright compliance.
  • Seeking access to materials not licensed by the library.
  • Adding physical Reserves per semester to our collection for short term loans to students.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive in September and January, we may post materials chronologically, according to the date each reading is used in class.

We encourage faculty submitting requests at peak times (September and January) to provide a full course syllabus or list of dates. This allows us to process your highest-priority readings and materials first.

To learn more about our policies and services, please see our website, https://libguides.msvu.ca/reserves/faculty, visit us in the Library, or email us at reserves@msvu.ca.

Andrea and Darcy are looking forward to supporting you and your students!
