  • We are thrilled that Jeannie Bail will be our new University Librarian, effective August 12th. Her wealth of experience and innovative ideas will bring a fresh perspective to the MSVU library. For more details, please refer to the full announcement in the Campus News by Dr. Lori Francis, AVP – Academic.

  • We are sad to share that Kydra Mayhew's contract as Engagement Librarian ended on April 26th, and Selena MacDonald's contract as Research Data & Assessment Librarian ended on June 30th. They both made significant contributions to the MSVU Library, and we wish them all the best in the future.

  • Sandra Sawchuk, Research Data & Assessment Librarian, will be returning from her 6-month sabbatical.

  • Denyse Rodrigues will begin her one-year sabbatical leave on July 1st. She will continue the work she began on her last sabbatical with the MSVU Lesbian Pulp Fiction Collection online exhibit.

  • Stephanie Brown will fill in for Denyse as the Research Help & Instructional Services Librarian. She will join us on July 23rd. Stephanie holds a Master of Library and Information Studies and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Alberta. She is completing a year-long contract as the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Thompson Rivers University. Before that role, Stephanie was the coordinator of Digital Collections for eight months at the Inuvialuit Digital Library (University of Alberta). She has experience with teaching, building learning objects, and reference work from the former and extensive experience with digital objects and accessibility standards from the latter.
