I am excited to start my first academic year as the new University Librarian at the Mount. The MSVU Library & Archives takes pride in a long tradition of providing exceptional service to all our users and facilitating access to critical resources used in research, teaching and learning. Our dedicated staff collaborate with faculty through information/digital literacy instruction, including the use of primary sources from the Archives; support for all phases of the research lifecycle, including open scholarship and research data management fundamentals; and the hosting of scholarly journals, such as Atlantis: Critical Studies in Gender, Culture & Social Justice. These are just a few areas of library expertise, and we are always interested in meeting with the Mount community to explore opportunities for partnership, so don't hesitate to reach out.
As a new face in the community, I look forward to meeting on the leafy trails on campus; pan-university meetings, committees and events; and, of course, in the library itself, the hub of academic life -- feel free to drop by and say hello... the saying Libraries Are for Everyone could not be truer at the Mount!
