If you are looking for a book, journal article, or other item that the MSVU library does not have, you can request it using Document Delivery. Before making your request, search for the item by title in Novanet. If the item doesn't appear in the first page of results, we probably don't have it.

As of December 19, 2025, MSVU will end its use of the Relais ILL management service.
Students, employees, and other library patrons may continue to request interlibrary loans and document delivery via Novanet.

If you find a book or other item in our catalogue from another library, you need to log in to your Novanet account in order to place a hold. After you've logged in, there will be a link in the item record that says 'Place a hold'.
Once logged in, choose the "My Library Account" tab.
Log in using your MSVU e-mail credentials.
MSVU e-mail credentials cannot be changed by Library staff. If these credentials are not working, please contact the IT&S Helpdesk via helpdesk@msvu.ca or call 902-457-6538
