Why do I need a Mount ID card?

  • Log in with your barcode and PIN to manage your Library account. Borrow print books, check your due dates and renew your loans.
  • Order books and articles from other libraries if the Mount Library doesn't have it. Articles and chapters will be delivered via email.
  • Book student group study rooms.

(Access the Mount Library's online databases using your Mount username and password. This is the same one you use for Moodle.)

On Campus 

NEW STUDENTS: Once you have registered for your classes for the current semester, please come to the Library at least 24 hours after registering. (The ID database needs one day to refresh.)

Your first semester: Photo ID card printing available by:
Fall (September) mid-August
Winter (January) beginning of December
Summer I (May) mid-April
Summer II (July) mid-June

RETURNING STUDENTS: Stop by any time with your current card and we'll provide you with a new validation sticker for the current academic year. The replacement cost for a lost card is $10 (cash, debit, or credit).

Note: Your Mount distance ID card can be used to borrow books from most Canadian university libraries.The Mount distance ID card is not a photo ID. It contains your name, student ID and Mount ID barcode.
